NIKOLAIDOU ELENI-MARIA

Yia! This is how we say “hello” in Greek. My name is Eleni. I’m half English, half Greek and 100% bilingual. I have a degree in History and Archaeology from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and a Master’s degree in Museum Studies from University College London and have worked at many archaeological sites and museums in Greece and abroad, including the British Museum in London. Today, I live in Thessaloniki and lead different types of tours throughout Greece (cultural, archaeological, food tours, religious tours, hiking tours etc).

I am an outdoorsy person and love hiking, rock climbing and skiing (yes we do have skiing in Greece!). I volunteer with the Greek mountain rescue team and am a licensed first aid provider. As an avid traveler myself, I love to share personal stories with my travelers, since I find that it is through connections with real people that you gain an insight into the real life and culture of a country.
