I grew up in the city of Kavala and studied archeology at the Aristotle University of
Thessaloniki. In my Master’s I studied ancient Greek painting techniques, while my PhD was
about the funerary archaeology of Macedonia. Then I had the opportunity to teach Classical
Archaeology for two years to the undergraduate and postgraduate students of the
Department of History & Archeology at the University of Crete. From 2013 till today I have
been working as an archaeologist in Vergina (ancient Aegae), setting up the exhibitions of
the New Museum and working in the restoration of the Palace of Aegae. In recent years I am
also a permanent resident of the area. I feel the opportunity of guiding people from near or
distant places as a privilege and I am interested in a meaningful interaction, by narrating the
stories of the people of the past in a personal and modern way. In my spare time I enjoy life
in nature, photography and experimental painting, using color, wax and marble.
