Hello! I am a licensed tourist guide and an archaeologist with a doctorate in Prehistoric Archaeology, a field I have explored through years of research, fieldwork, and teaching. My journey began at the University of Ioannina, where I studied History and Archaeology, and continued at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, where I completed both postgraduate and doctoral studies. From early on, I was drawn to the deep past — to the Paleolithic world, human evolution and evolution of culture.
My research has taken shape through numerous publications in international journals and conference proceedings, each one adding a piece to the broader story of prehistoric communities. I shared this knowledge widely, giving lectures and participating in webinars, always aiming to make the distant past accessible and engaging.
Alongside my academic work, I have built substantial experience as a field archaeologist. I served in various Ephorates of Antiquities, supervising excavations, conducting field research, and documenting finds across Greece — from Macedonia and Thrace to Cyprus and the Cyclades. My work also extends into museum practice, where I contributed to the re-exhibition of collections (Petralona cave-Museum) and the digital preservation of archaeological material, helping bring cultural heritage closer to the public. More recently, I have been part of the scientific team working on the restoration and presentation of the Baths of the Agora in ancient Dion, and the excavation of the Mycenean citadel of Agios Andreas on the island of Sifnos, as a scientific member of the Archaeological Society of Athens.
In 2024–2025, I taught Prehistoric Archaeology at the Thessaloniki School of Tourist Guides, bringing together my academic background and hands-on experience to train the next generation of professionals. My contributions to research have been recognized with two scholarships from the State Scholarships Foundation (IKY), awarded for both my postdoctoral work and my doctoral dissertation.
