Hello, my name is Alevtina!
I am an art historian, Greek language teacher, interpreter and tourist guide.
I have a special passion for Byzantium and among my degrees my favourite one is an MA in Byzantine Art from the Courtauld Institute of Art in London.
The North of Greece and Thessaloniki in particular is full of fascinating Byzantine sites, ranging from the 6th to the 15th century and I really enjoy sharing my knowledge and love for these places with other people.
I am based in Thessaloniki and offer walking or bus tours in the city and day trips to Meteora, Arta, Vergina, Veria, Kastoria, Chalkidiki, Kavala etc.
Having lived and travelled in different countries, such as Russia, the UK and Greece, I have a good insight into how to make a visiting experience enjoyable.
Personally I love combining going to a museum, seeing some ancient, Byzantine, Ottoman and Jewish monuments with a cup of coffee at a picturesque spot followed by a traditional delicious meal at the end.
Tastes differ, however, and I can shape my day tours to your demands.
